ADULT EDUCATION POSITIONS

Placement Coodinator

The Adult Education Department, Mahoning County Career & Technical Center announces a position as Placement Coordinator, 900 hours a year with flex hours. Experience in Human Relations, Placement, and Public Relations are required.

The Placement Coordinator will be responsible for visiting area business and industries to introduce themselves and to observe the company’s employment needs. They will be the link or ambassador for the career center and business and industry. They will spend time with the adult students through out their training and help with their job searches upon completion of training.

The Placement Coordinator will have an administrative center in the Adult Education Office. Voice mail and E-mail will be available to the Coordinator at all times. All correspondence from employers will be answered within a twenty-four hour period unless the coordinator is out of the office for an extended period of time. The Adult Education Placement Coordinator will work closely with the Secondary Placement Personnel.

The Coordinator must have excellent conversational and presentation skills as well as strong organizational, detail-oriented skills. They must also be able to work with minimal supervision and contribute to a team effort.
