Students earn high scores at FCCLA Competition
Students in the Early Childhood Development program at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center competed in the 2010 FCCLA Early Childhood Development Competition on March 6.
The students competed in three categories, language and literacy, concept curriculum and teacher resource kit. With each of these categories the students had to research, develop and present lesson plans, activities and kits that met the state’s content standards for Early Childhood Education.
Jessica Grizinski a senior from Boardman earned a gold medal for the language and literacy event. Grizinski received a perfect score of 100 percent from all three judges and will be attending the State Leadership Conference to compete in April.
