Exercise Science
Tech Prep
The exercise science pathway includes training in
sports and recreational health care. Students who enjoy learning about
fitness, athletic injuries and prevention, and proper nutrition will benefit
from this pathway.
What you’ll learn:
Students in this class will study human anatomy and
physiology, health appraisal and fitness testing, exercise programming,
nutrition and weight management, injury recognition and prevention,
rehabilitation techniques, and safety practices. They will utilize the
excellent fitness facilities available at the school.

Students enrolled in Exercise Science need to take
anatomy and physiology, preferably as juniors, as part of their college prep
curriculum.
College Tech Prep has an agreement with the University
of Akron permitting successful students to earn seven semester hours of
college credit.
