College and related education:
Two- and four-year technical degrees in aviation technology, aeronautics, or aeronautical engineering. Articulation agreements with four-year colleges, such as Middle Tennessee State University and Parks College of St. Louis University, can earn students up to two years college credit toward a bachelor’s degree in aviation.

The MCCTC Aviation Maintenance Technology program is licensed by the Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA). When you successfully complete this program,
you’ll be eligible to take the FAA Licensing Examination to become an aircraft
mechanic. Federal certification allows you to be employed as an aircraft
mechanic for corporate, government, commercial and general aviation. To
meet licensing requirements, summer work is necessary.
